Last year’s gigs in Glasgow and Edinburgh were a truly magical and surreal time for us.
Despite not having played these songs for about 30 years it was surprisingly easy and fun to get them together over a week’s rehearsal with our combo of excellent Scots musicians, namely Gary Houston (bass), Jim McDermott (drums), Stevie Christie (keyboards) and David Robertson (percussion).
A fantastic bunch with a laid-back sense of humour and decent appetite for buns. As for Skin and me? Well, we just fit together like we had never stopped.
The audience was so excited to see us after all this time that I forgot to be aware that the gigs were finishing and we wouldn’t be playing again for a while – suddenly it was the end of the encore and it was all over.
Reviews were minimal, but you can check out Fiona Shepherd’s article in The Scotsman here.
We have a gallery of images in our archive section from the gig at the ABC taken by the fabulous Louise Sordoillet (here for you to check out).
Still – that’s all about to change with the gigs in August 2017 and maybe, just maybe some recordings coming your way, so make sure you follow us and share – don’t miss out!
Meanwhile, here’s a video of Honeythief from the audience point of view. Thanks again Louise!
See you all then! Pim
